BBBR Volunteer Susan says: This was my first time meeting Diesel. What a sweet boy. A police officer pulled over next to us while we were on our walk and the female officer got out of her truck. I thought, oh boy, this isn't good. She comes over in uniform with all the accouterments, big smile on her face, Diesel jumps up and gives her a BIG kiss across the lips and she just laughs. She asked me about him and I explained about BBBR. All this time Diesel is kissing her. I had him sit - which he did perfectly - and she said, "Oh baby, you are just regaining your weight. What a sweet heart." She has 3 dogs herself but she told me she has a friend who might be interested. She got back in her truck and pulled off. She stopped again and asked his name and the website. Hopefully something will pan out.

He pulls some but is easily called back. He soon got the idea of walking right next to me. Also that is where the treats were, although I like to think it was because he was falling in love with me. He did pull when we came across a kids softball practice. He was more focused on the ball than the people. He focused completely on me and didn't react to either the skateboarder or the bicyclist. He seems like a great pup.

Diesel is a great dog, super friendly.

He is young so he's very curious and can lose focus but responded well to the treats. He walks really well on a leash. I think with more training he'd be a rock star.

He is HOUSE TRAINED! AFFECTIONATE! DIESEL is a gorgeous 2 year old, red and white, American Pit Bull Terrier. He is a large boy weighing 67 pounds. DIESEL was owner surrendered through no fault of his own!
He knows SIT and LAY DOWN. He likes his treats, toys and to play with his humans. He is very affectionate and loves children, however he can get over excited and accidently knock them down. He is a strong boy and pulls on his leash when he's excited or sees other dogs he wants to meet.

DIESEL is very active/energetic, loves to run and play, and gets along with some dogs. We had him with another dog here, and they did great together, however a meet and greet with all dogs in your home is mandatory before adoption. He will require a cat free home.
