Meet Rocky, a little boy with the spirit of a big dog. Rocky is a year old and weighs 12 pounds. His favorite word is outside and one of his favorite places is your lap.. Rocky dances with delight when he sees a leash or his foster mom picks up her car keys. Rocky loves car rides, a fast walk and an occasional run around the yard or kitchen island.

The shelter labeled Rocky as a Shih Tzu / Schnauzer mix, This boy is cute as a button and he sure can jump like a JRT.

Rocky is a sociable little guy and does well with other dogs and adults. He loves to play but can become overstimulated. When this happens, Rocky requires redirection.

Rocky's ideal home includes an experienced adopter that has the time to devote to exercise and professional training. This guy has the potential of doing well in agility or fly ball. Despite his energy, Rocky is also a lap dog that loves to snuggle and sneak a kiss or two

Rocky is neutered, up to date on vaccines, negative for Heartworm and Lyme disease and come with a microchip.

Rocky is being fostered in Shrewsbury, MA.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
