Copper is a dynamo of a heeler. With his big prick ears and copper- colored spots he is as handsome as he is fun. Copper is a big dog in a small package--about 34 pounds of solid muscle--looking for fun. He is smart and funny and a quick learner. He has fairly good manners but would be thrilled to learn more with you. If you've ever wanted a dog who was quick to learn new tricks, Copper is for you. If you've ever wanted an agility dog--Copper is for you. This guy is active and needs physical and mental exercise--in exchange, you will have an extremely loyal partner for any activity. He does well with many dogs--certainly with all girls. But if you have a male dog, a meet and greet is in order because Copper can be a bit fussy about new male dogs in his world. Not recommend for a home with cats or younger kids--being a heeler, he will round them up. An active, dog sport -oriented youth would have a great time with Copper however. Copper now has a Canine Partner registration with AKC which means he can participate in any AKC event--agility, obedience, etc. Copper recently participated in a lure coursing event and loved it.
