Monty--I'm a Sweet Adoption Center Dog! Silky Terrier Chicago, IL

Monty is a really sweet boy who has come out of his shell very quickly in his foster home. Per his foster family, he is no longer afraid in our home and welcomes us with excitement. He shows interest in our other dog with sniffs and recently they have started playing together with toys and engaging. He also adores his foster parents and though the first few days in a new environment may be overwhelming, he'll acclimate quickly. Monty is crated during the day and doesn't cry. He is not potty trained yet but he came from a hoarding sitution with 30 other dogs and is not yet neutered so once that happens (first week of October) we anticipate his potty habits will improve as he has already made great strides!

Monty walks well on leash and prances like a king with a big smile on his face. He is still skittish on walks with big noises but I just keep walking and he eventually will follow. He sleeps on the couch through the night and gets up when our other pup gets up. He is not particularly clingy and will sometimes lay in his dog bed the whole evening while we cook, eat and putz around. I think he would be a great addition to any family though likely with kids 10+ since he's skittish at first.
