Moosette--Adorable Hippo with a Sponsored Adoption Fee! Staffordshire Bull Terrier Chicago, IL

You kind of have to meet Moosette in person to understand just how stinkin' cute she is, but we'll do our best to convey her adorable snortiness here. At around 5.5 years old and 60 lbs this low-rider is the cutest mini-hippo ever. In addition to her good looks, Moosie is also a friendly girl who enjoys going on walks, snuggling, and being perfectly house/crate trained even while her foster parents are at work for a full day.

Moosette is is perfectly fine passing other dogs on walks and even hangs out with her neighbors pups from time to time but may thrive most as the only pooch in her forever home; it will just depend on whether or not it's the right match. Sometimes Moosie is a little tentative with new people (though the vast majority she is good with) so though we know she'll love and bond wonderfully with her forever family, she'll thrive most in an adult home.

When Moosie first joined the rescue she had terrible chronic ear infections and ultimately her veterinarian and surgeon decided ear canal ablation surgery would be in her best interest. She has recently had this procedure done on both ears and thankfully it has worked like a charm! She is now ear infection and pain free though since this surgery means the whole ear canal was removed, she does have diminished hearing.
