Hello, my name is Ellen. That's what my new friends here in rescue have been calling me. They helped me when I was in a really tough spot. I had been in a small Louisiana shelter and I had heard someone say that my time was up tomorrow. I didn't really know what that meant, but they were sad when they said it. But then the next day I was rescued!! So that turned out to be a really great day.
A little bit about me... I am a young girl, about a year old. My rescue friends tell me that's a great age because I'm still very young, but I'm also potty trained and I know not to chew on things I'm not supposed to. I like to go out for walks, but I also settle down nicely and love being next to my person. I would never turn down a snuggle or a belly rub. I also have a clean bill of health - I am spayed, heartworm negative, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. A lady is not supposed to be asked about her weight, but I know you're wondering, so I'll say it - I weigh 48 lbs and I'm all done growing.
My foster family has other dogs, and we are getting along well. I really love to play with dogs and chase each other around the yard. A large, docile sibling would be so much fun to play with.
