Tex is a handsome five year old gray tiger who loves being around people, including children. He is a love bug and is super mellow. Tex loves being scratched around his ears, under his chin and his belly. He was a stray and is so grateful to be living indoors now!

Tex has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV+), which is a cat-only disease that decreases the ability of the immune system to fight some infections. FIV+ is not easily passed between cats. It cannot be transmitted casually through shared litter boxes, water and food bowls, or when snuggling or playing. FIV is most commonly transmitted via deep bites during cat fights, the virus is present in the saliva of infected cats. With appropriate care and treatment of chronic conditions, most FIV+ cats live long, healthy and relatively symptom free lives.
