Matty Chihuahua Worcester, MA

My name is Matty and I'm looking for a new mom or dad to call my own! The vet says I'm an "older gentleman" but I don't feel like it! The nice vet thinks that I am around 10 or 12 years old. I have settled into my foster home, which has two adults, a cat and another dog. I've also spent long weekends at another foster home full of dogs and cats, and I did just fine! I warm up to women very quickly, and with some cheese and other goodies, I warm up to men as well!

Since I was found on the streets, I have been to the vet a few times: I am now neutered, had some rotten teeth removed and had my heart looked at. It turns out that I have a heart murmur, but aside from taking a pill twice a day, you wouldn't even know it!

I'm looking for a quiet type of home - I'm a little scared of lots of human commotion. But whenever my foster family has friends come over, I hang out in my favorite bed in my crate and I am happy as can be!

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
