Hi! My name is Koa. I am 5 years old and weigh about 70 pounds. The best way to describe me is: the dog you have been waiting for!

I'm new to Broken Tail and my foster mom told me not to get too comfortable because my forever family is just about to find me. I can't wait to meet them! Let me tell you a bit about what I am looking for, besides a king-size bed with my people: I want someone to give me exercise and structure, as well as challenge my mind. I already know many commands, and promise to dazzle you with them!, but please make sure I practice, so I don't forget. Your reward for helping me practice will be kisses, loyalty, and love. Think you can do that? Great .... now let me tell you about some of my other preferences.

OK, I realize you probably have a regular visitor called your postal carrier. I'll tell you now, I won't like them. Sometimes they even take the boxes when you leave them. I love cats and would not mind having one or two, but I'd prefer to be your only dog for now. Maybe after I settle in we can negotiate, but for the time being let's let it be just us.

Now for the answers to your other questions, just so we can seal the deal. I am neutered, up-to-date on immunizations, I have received preventive care and been on heart-worm medication all my life. I am housebroken. A few more tidbits, just in case you're not sure: I love car rides with my people, and would love a family with kids who weigh more than me.

We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
