Meet Martha Mae
Martha Mae is a sweet Cairn Terrier mix who is searching for her forever home. We will never know the adventures she experienced on her journey, but we do know that she enjoys having a warm place to stay, a nice bowl of food, a comfy bed and a family to love!
Martha's favorite things to do are to explore the yard, go for short walks and take long naps. When she wakes up, she is so happy that she prances and dances. She likes to show her love by rubbing her face against you.
At 15 and 1/2 lbs, Martha is underweight. But she has a hearty appetite and she should have no trouble getting up to her best weight. She is believed to be 10 years old.
Martha Mae has a heart murmur that doesn't seem to stop her from doing what she likes. She is being monitored by a vet and may need a dental cleaning before she is adopted.

NOTE: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
