Meet Kramer
Kramer is not at the Shelter. He is being fostered so if you are interested in meeting him, please fill out an application so we can set up an appointment.
Kramer is an 8-year-old, 14 lb. Yorkshire Terrier/Poodle mix in need of a new home because he is not a good fit for the family that adopted him from us recently and they think he needs a busier home where he gets out a lot and gets lots of play time and stimulation. He has some anxious behaviors that he is working through and will stay in his current home until a suitable home is found for him. He is scared of cats, and gets along with dogs but would likely be happiest as your only dog.
Kramer is a big cuddler, he loves to snuggle up with people, and is a nice little fellow. He used to go to doggie daycare and hang out with the people instead of the dogs. He enjoys a long walk every day and lots of attention. He is not the type of dog that could be left home alone all day while his owner is at work.
If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out the dog adoption application on this page of our website: http://medfieldshelter.com/dog_applications/new
If a dog is listed on our website, that means that dog is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment. Rocky's adoption fee is $100. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, tested for heartworm and Lyme and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative. If a dog is listed on our website, they are still available for adoption. Please fill out the adoption application if you would like to be considered for a dog you see in our care.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
