Meet Ginny

NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this pet personally. To meet her, email FCIAadoptions@aol.com or call 619.466.9137.

Ginny is a Terrier mix, 4 to 5 years old, who weighs approximately 28 pounds. She is in excellent health. She is very good with adults and children; however, her exuberance and strength are not appropriate for children under 10. She loves cuddling and sitting on her person's lap, and will be a loyal companion and friend. She is very anxious around other dogs, which translates into aggression, so she would ideally do best as an only pet. She is not appropriate for dog parks or social settings where other dogs are present. She would not be good with cats or other small pets. Her energy level is high, so a large enclosed yard where she can get lots of activity and burn off energy is recommended. She loves to play and chase a ball. She would do best with an adopter who has some dog experience and is willing to work on training, particularly leash training. She is very smart and anxious to please her human, so will do well with a consistent routine.

FCIA rescued Ginny from a local shelter when volunteers contacted us to help her, as she did not do well in a confined atmosphere with other dogs, but they saw in her who loves people and who is deserving of a second chance. If you are the person she is waiting for, please contact us or come meet her at one of our Saturday adoption sites. She truly is a diamond in the rough! This dog cannot be adopted out of state. Please see our home page for a list of our Saturday adoption sites (http://www.fcianimals.org/). Every potential adopter is required to fill out an adoption application and the dog is placed in the home that would be most suitable for the dog. We do not place our dogs in homes with unfenced swimming pools. Generally, we don't release the dogs at the adoption site that day except on occasion to former adopters. If you are interested in adopting Ginny, please email FCIAadoptions@aol.com or call 619-466-9137.
