Meet Max

7/15/15 Update from Max's foster:

Max is a one year old, tri-color beagle, with super soft fur.

Max is good natured, affectionate, playful, energetic, cheerful, snuggly and cuddly. J

Max responds to his name and “no”, he can sit, walk well on a leash, share toys, play well in a dogpark, wait his turn for for treats, learns fast. He is doing very well in his beginner dog training class at Petsmart.

Max loves his toys. He will bring one toy at time on to his bed and take turns playing with each, and then jump off the bed, snuggle with another dog and pick another one and take that on the bed. He’s a very active and social dog!

We working on teaching him not to jump or grab. He needs lot of toys for diversion and exercise. He goes for long walks every day. He also goes jogging with some of his volunteer friends.

He is a very intelligent and curious dog. He is fascinated by most everything. He studies anything you do. He loves people, children and other dogs.

He hunts well with other beagles, snuggles with other dogs, loves car rides, adults, children, strangers.

He doesn’t like to be alone yet. He has a little separation anxiety.

But, when he is with people he is a truly delightful to be around!

Here is a bio from Max's foster: 5/28/15 He is very friendly with other dogs. He sniffs my rabbit but doesn't do much else. He is a calm dog but can be playful. He is very quiet. So far I haven't heard him bark yet. Even when he sees squirrels or other dogs. He is very affectionate and likes to sit on my lap. He is friendly with new people and sniffs around a lot. He is a very good dog. While past dogs I have fostered they rushed to eat their food and tug a lot on walks. Max is very gentle and when he eats he is very slow and takes his time. On walks he likes to take his time and doesn't tug at all. Great dog!

Max has arrived to NJ! Update to come but here are some pictures!

Max is coming to NJ on May 23rd. We will get a bio when he arrives and some pictures but for now we do know that sweet little Max is happy to be out of the shelter. As we speak

he is getting all his vetting done. He will be

Up to date on all his shots, neutered,& he will also have all his flea &

tick prevention. Max will feel like a new man as he boards his transport

this weekend . He is super sweet little guy, little under weight but we will

fix that right up with regular meals as soon as he gets to his foster home.

We call him Max because his heart has the Maximum capacity for giving Love. He will give some lucky family as much or even more Love than he is shown because he has Max Capacity in his heart .
