Odette Pit Bull Terrier Mix Houston, TX

Odette is the personification of joy, once she gets to know you. She can be a bit shy at first, but once she's comfortable, she is a fun, bouncy girl who can't get enough love. When the door opens to the backyard, Odette doesn't sedately walk down the three steps to the yard, she launches herself off the porch to fly into the grass.

Odette recently went on a sleepover with a potential adoptive family. It didn't work out because their Chi mix decided she most definitely did NOT want a big sister, but here's what they had to say about Odette:

We have had Odette over for a sleep-over, and have spent two wonderful days with her. Although she is shy, she quickly bonded with the lady of the house, and easily tolerated our two current dogs. It is one of the calmest, submissive and balanced dogs we have seen. We have seen no signs of aggression during the sleepover, and her level of tolerance is high. She walks on a leash very well, and feels comfortable being led. She is crate-trained and went to her crate at bedtime without fuss. On top of that she is house-trained, and knew where to go after only being showed once.

Her life story is very sad. She has been through a lot in her young life, and it has left its marks. But, this is all the more reason that Odette deserves a warm, loving home. If any dog deserves it, it is her.

Odette came to Pup Squad from BARC with eight babies, who sadly, didn't make it. Odette herself, was sick and very skinny. But with lots of TLC and good care, she is now a happy, healthy girl.

Odette loves to play with her friends, chew bones and take long walks. She also enjoys a good sunbath and is a champion cuddler.

Our adoption fee is a $200.00 donation to Pup Squad Animal Rescue. Our adopted dogs are all spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. We are happy to transport our dogs out-of-state as we have lots of experience doing this and love to see our dogs to the best homes possible! Please remember all breed estimates are just that...estimations based on our experience. NOTE: We will only do transport if the dogs are 4 months of age or older as this means they are fully vetted and spay/neutered at this age.
