Howdy! I’m Scooter! I’m 3 years old and 16 pounds of love bug.

I am starting to think that I am the luckiest dog in the world. My foster mom takes me everywhere with her. Riding in the car is such a blast. I sit in the back and watch the world go by out the window, there are so many interesting things to see along the way! The other day I even got to go to my foster sister’s school to pick her up and I got to meet all of the kids, that was awesome! Plus there were lots of other moms there and they all thought I was pretty darn cute… okay, maybe I hammed it up just a little bit for them.

Foster mom is teaching me all kinds of things to help me be a perfect pooch. I’m learning that “shush” means if I stop what I’m doing I’ll get a treat. It works great because if I’m barking at a dog or at someone coming in the house (I’m a good little door bell), a quick shush distracts me and I know that if i come running that there is a goodie waiting for me. There is a pesky kitty at our house, and I think I should chase it, but the humans seem to like it. So if they say “leave it” ... I am learning that means don’t chase the kitty. Too bad because it would have been more fun my way.

In additional to having a sexy plumey tail, I have gorgeous brown eyes, which I can use to great effect. How else do you think I convinced my fosters to let me up on the bed to sleep at night?! Once I get up there I just curl up next to Foster mom and I conk out until the morning. I’m so happy.

Now that my life it turning out to be pretty great, I think I would really like to find a forever home, one with a family that would love me and take me with them on excursions and let me meet lots of people, yup that’s what I want, LOVE and PEOPLE!
