Meet Coco

Hi my name is Coco! I was brought to the shelter by my original owner because they said they "couldn't afford" me and my sister... but thats ok, I love my foster family! They rescued me from the shelter and told me they were going to help me learn some cool stuff and keep me safe until I could find my forever home. You know the best part?!?! I realized I LOVE learning, mainly because learning involves extra treats, and treats are pretty awesome! I have already learned how to sit (which I like to show everyone how good I am at that one because its super easy now), I've also learned how to lay down and how to wait politely in my crate.
Thus far I haven't had any accidents inside but if you adopt me, please give me a little extra time to acclimate... there will be a lot of new stuff going on, and my foster mom said sometimes adopted dogs may have an accident inside at first (just don't give up on me, I've got it I promise). My foster family is teaching me to walk on a leash politely (which is why I'm wearing the fancy harness in some of my photos). I'm doing much better with my leash training, I just get super excited at first and have to remember my manners. But once I'm reminded of what I should be doing, I get right back into the swing of things. I still have some puppy left in me sometimes and its usually when I get excited about going for a walk!
My foster family tells me I'm a 63 pound Rottweiler mix and that I'm heartworm negative. I have already been spayed which is why I have a fancy green tattoo on my tummy... which is great because I'm still a puppy at heart, I definitely didn't want to end up with puppies to take care of.
I absolutely LOVE people and do great with other dogs (I don't prefer the really obnoxious or dominant dogs, but really who could blame me). And although I don't live with cats right now, the couple of times I've met them I've been a little scared of them... they are scary creatures those cats. I like kids a lot too, but because I'm still learning why it's important to not jump on people my foster family said I may do better with slighter older kids (incase I get super excited and jump up for attention, I don't want to accidentally knock anyone down).
