Meet Dobbs

The Rescue Train recently got a call from a family that was losing their home. They were heartbroken to give up their beloved dog Dobbs but it was their priority at this difficult time to make sure Dobbs got to love and safety. So this fluffy little guy got a ticket on The Rescue Train and is now looking for a FURever home.
Dobbs is a sweet, playful little Poodle/Maltese mix who has the energy of a puppy on walks and the calmness and cuddliness of a dog you have known forever. Six years old and weighing in at around 17 pounds, Dobbs is social and a charmer. He is great with meeting people and other little dogs but is also a stalwart little man with his own independence. That is until he decides it’s time for a belly rub, then all bets are off! Nothing would please him more than to see you happy and smiling because of him.
Dobbs favorite past time (besides hanging with you) is people, dog,and cat watching out a window. There are no cats in his foster home but our experience with Dobbs is that he gets super excited when he sees a cat on his walks and would love to ‘be a dog’ and chase them. Dobbs is housebroken and walks well on his leash. He is a happy, fun, energetic little guy who loves to play and cuddle. He's attentive and affectionate, and would like nothing better than to snuggle next to you in your human bed to sleep and share happy dreams. Like most dogs, he could always benefit from an obedience class with you, both to bond and also to make him a good canine citizen. He is fine with cats but does love that chase. Dobbs is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to share your heart and your home.
