Missy takes some time to get to know, but she is worth the effort. Once she is comfortable, she is very loving and affectionate towards her person. She loves to curl up on your lap and fall asleep while you watch TV or read. She also loves to nap with you and especially likes to rest her cheek against your cheek and purr. She does not like to be picked up, but she loves to follow you around the house and companionably hang out nearby. She is sensitive to noise, but quite likes sitting down to listen to her current foster play acoustic guitar (though she is less convinced of the merits of electric guitar). She is a deeply curious cat and needs to explore every inch of the house. If she can’t, she will have a difficult time feeling safe and comfortable. If you are comfortable allowing her free access to the entire house, then she will happily settle in, knowing that all is well in her domain. She greets you warmly when you come home at the end of the day and loves to cuddle right away, since she has missed you while you’ve been away.

Because she is a very sensitive cat and is acutely aware of any strange sounds or happenings, Missy needs to be in a very quiet home with no young children or other pets. She can get scared if she hears dogs barking, so it might be difficult for her to feel safe if there are dogs audibly living in the same complex. In the right home, Missy is a relaxed and happy cat who loves to play with toys, lounge in the sun, and watch the world go by through the window. With someone who respects her space and autonomy, Missy is an absolutely lovely lady with lots of love to give.
