Zsa Zsa Australian Terrier Los Angeles, CA

Zsa Zsa is aptly named. She is a high energy, feisty little girl. This sweet girl is very bright and takes an interest in other dogs although she can be a little fearful around kids. For this reason, we don't recommend her for a home with rugrats. Initially she had some aggression when she was first brought into foster care. Her prior owner didn't know how to handle this feistiness, which is why she was turned into the shelter. She is much much better now and is settling down and more confident. Although Zsa Zsa is a sweet girl, she is not sure enough about people to seek them out for hugs and kisses. For the time being she needs to be the one to determine how and when she is approached for affection. She has been undergoing training for this and it is helping although she's still not sure about being cuddled or petted. She has a hearty appetite. Zsa Zsa loves her toys and loves playing fetch. She is very afraid of thunder. Fortunately in California she's not going to see a lot of it hat She is pee pad trained, sleeps through the night and takes treats. Zsa Zsa is a diamond in the rough. She has the capability to be a wonderful companion. We have high hopes for her so long as she is able to find the right person who will train her and give her the support she needs.
