King Rat Terrier & Fox Terrier Mix Franklin, MA

Hi, I’m King! I am looking for my forever kingdom where I can live happily ever after. First let me tell you about myself. I am a sleek, black and white rat terrier mix with distinctive brown circles above each molten chocolate eye and a brown muzzle. Weighing in at 21 pounds, I am a wiry fellow. I am 4 years young, neutered and am an affectionate and loyal companion. I just love people. I can be a little slow to warm up to new people, especially men, but if you give me just a little time and space, after a few minutes I will be your best friend. I like other dogs so would love a canine sibling. I am okay with dog savvy cats. If they don't run, I don't chase. I was kind and gentle when I met my foster parents' 1 year old grandchild.
Favorite activities of mine are going for walks, backyard romps, and snuggling my people. I like to be on a lap, lying with my head on a lap or curled up beside my people on the couch or in bed. I am good about going in my crate when my people have to go to work and I am happy to sleep there at night as long as I can be in the same room. If I could find a home where there is someone around during the day, that would be ideal. I love attention. I really can't be trusted out of my crate when no one is home. I tend to get into things (like the trash, the kitchen sink). I am not at all destructive, just a little food obsessed. I have a very good nose, so if there is food out anywhere I will find it. Everyone has their vices, right? I am quiet in the house. I really only bark when someone comes in the door or when I meet someone new that I am not sure about. I like to ride in the car with my head out the window (what dog doesn't?). I like to fetch a plush toy but don't think I am giving it back. I will bring it to you but I may not let you have it. I'm a big tease! I do know basic commands such as come, stay, sit; and can wait for a releasing command okay/good boy. If you can love me (how could you not?) I am ready to love you forever. My vaccinations are current, I am negative for Heartworm and Lyme disease and come microchipped. Who could ask for more? If you would like to meet me please
