Arthur Siberian Husky Houston, TX

Arthur was adopted from us in Aug of 2007. Fast forward to July of 2014 when Arthur was found almost blind, skinny, matted, dirty, and covered in fleas roaming as a stray in Magnolia, TX, with no collar or tag. Luckily, the person that found Arthur scanned his micro-chip and RCR was notified. Arthur was taken immediately to our vet where in addition to being nearly blind, he was also found to have a tumor on his head, three bad teeth, and infections of the ears, eyes, skin and urinary tract. After thousands of dollars of medical care, generously supported by RCR donors, Arthur is infection-free and has had surgery which has restored 90 – 95% of his vision. He is now in a loving foster family who is helping to heal his body and his heart.

Even though Arthur is 9 years old, he has the heart of a puppy. He LOVES to go for walks and car rides. His favorite pastime is laying on his big comfy bed with his foster brother. Arthur wants to be by his human’s side and be petted all the time. Arthur has never met a stranger, as he gives “kisses” to everyone he meets. He is kennel trained and absolutely loves taking naps and spending the night in his “house”. Arthur is good with other dogs and cats. He would do well with other dogs his size and temperament.

Arthur’s adoptive home should have no small children, an area to go for leashed walks, a fully fenced yard, someone who works part-time or from home or retired, and ability to give medications. Due to his previous experiences, Arthur does have some anxiety. But as long as he knows he is safe and loved, Arthur is a calm and loving dog.

Arthur deserves to spend his “golden years” in a loving home living like a king. King Arthur!
