Duffy's Friends matches dogs to families in the Rochester, NY area. We will drive 10 miles over the border in any direction for our required home visit. We require traditional fenced in yards and children living in the home must be over the age of 10 years. We also require home ownership and a history of owning a dog in your name.

As of September 6 we have 3 applications and are not taking new ones at this time. Adoption pending.

Dewey is 4.5 years old pure Maltese boy and is housebroken. He is 7 lbs and is the sweetest little dog. His owner has asked us to find him a home as she is very ill and can not care for him anymore.

Maltese are active dogs and we are looking for someone who takes their dogs for walks and wants to spend time with them. As small and loving as he is - he is young and will need some one to exercise him. Dewey gets along with other dogs and lived a short time with a cat. He loves his fenced in yard and relaxing in the shade on the grass. He has mastered the leash walk like he has done it all his life. He is a lot of fun and loves to play with his soft toys, fetching and bringing which keeps him busy and provides some needed exercise. He is very loving and wants to be next to you and on loves snuggling on your lap. He is very smart and quick to make adjustments.

He is neutered up to date on vaccinations. He likes to be crated at night and the new owner will have a crate on hand. We are firm on the needs of our dogs so do think about what resources you must have before adoption.

He will be not be at Petco so we must set up a personal meet and greet. His foster home works on Saturday's and is unable to make our meet ups. We also can forward you an application or you can go to our website at www.duffysfriends.com and look for the Chow Chow dog to find our on line tool.
