Stubby gets his name from his short legs and long body. Stubby is in the Weight Watcher's program and is working hard to work off a few of those extra pounds he packed on this winter. Stubby does well with other dogs and is also housebroken. Stubbs is a happy go lucky kind of guy. He loooooves getting attention from his human friends. Stubby does not do well with cats.

Volunteers For Animals periodically pulls dogs for other shelters in need of moving animals to avoid euthanizing healthy, adoptable animals. We are able to do this through the generosity of many people such as the originating shelter staff, transporters, foster volunteers and others who help with pulling fees, vet bills and finding good homes once they are here.

The adoption process includes an application that is completed by the potential owner. If there are multiple applications on the same animal, the animal will go to the best home for that particular animal - not necessarily the first application. Fees for the rescues animals can range from $50 to $150 per animal.
