Alice Border Collie & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Shafter, CA

Hello everyone! Do you remember our girl, Alice? Sadly she has been returned to the shelter and is in need of a new forever home. The previous owners were unable to contain this lively girl, from jumping their fence and had to keep her tethered most of the time. Alice is a Border Collie/Pit bull mix that weighs around 50 pounds and is guessed to be approximately 2 1/2 years old. Her first time brought into the shelter, she was found wandering the streets. This poor girl just can’t get a break! This is Alice’s third time to the shelter, from two failed adoptions. Alice needs a truly forever home. She needs someone to play and exercise with. Alice has previously been observed to enjoy the company of other submissive dogs; she is more dominant than submissive. Cats are not a very good idea around Alice. We feel if given the chance, she might chase them. Among Alice's favorite things are running around a yard playing with toys, being petted and lounging! Alice likes to spend time exploring her surroundings when going out for nice long walks, too. This girl gets very excited when you bring the leash out. Because she is a strong girl, we would recommend a strong handler during her walks. Basic obedience training would be great for Alice to help her learn perfect manner and to better bond with her new owner. We would love to see Alice off to a home where she will be loved unconditionally for all the rest of her days! She deserves this chance at a better life! Don't you think??
