Meet Sydney - RIP
January 8, 2018 - Sydney has earned her wings. Even though she never found her family, she was loved and will be missed. Fly free and fly high little one!
November 2017 - At this time, Sydney is a hospice foster. A mammary tumor was found and she has DCI (disseminated intravascular coagulation) and is not a candidate for surgery.
ARRIVAL DATE: 03/06/2013
She and her minpin sister were abandoned in an apartment when their people moved. They were awarded to the city and some heartless person adopted her sister, the smaller and younger one, and left Sydney there to die. I picked her up from animal control when her time was up despite having closed intake.
She is a purebred Miniature Pinscher, about 4 yo, docked and with natural ears. She is fully vetted: vaccs, deworming, spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative etc. I had many people comment on her large nipples from being bred so much so she had a nipplectomy while she went in for surgery to have a fatty deposit removed near her theigh. So shes all svelte and gorgeous now! Shes a nice little girl with a great temperament and just the cutest and spunkiest personality. She LOVES her toys and taking walks and playing and going for car rides and pretty much everything. Shes very athletic and just happy happy happy and would do well in almost any home situation.

Do not pay the processing fee to BTR (ignore the auto-reply email). However, be sure to specify that you are interested in a MinPin on the application so that I know to process it. There is a non-refundable $25 processing fee payable to reh_pinscher@yahoo.com via PayPal and only completed applications will be processed after receipt of payment.
After the application is processed and approved, a home visit and meet and greet with the dogs will be scheduled. If there are any fencing issues, make sure that repairs are done prior to the home visit. Typically, the adoption is finalized the day after the home visit and meet and greet.
*** The adoption fee is $300. In addition to basic vetting, most dogs require specialized care such as blood work, heartworm treatment, dentals, fixing broken legs etc.
*** I do not turn away based on age, medical, or behavioral issues like other rescues and so some minpins will require extensive vet care that costs thousands of dollars just for one dog. Any and all donations are appreciated and 100% goes to the MinPins.
