LUCKY Shetland Sheepdog / Sheltie Lawrenceville, GA

Lucky is really nice Sheltie with the sweetest face and a sad story that we hope to change into a happy one.  He was brought in to a local vet's office by his previous owners, who were not regular clients, but wanted to have Lucky euthanized "because he is 9 years old."  ?!?!  Can you believe it?  Other than needing a good grooming (his beautiful coat was badly neglected) and being a bit overweight,  he has no health issues.  One of the employees at the vet's office called us and begged us to save Lucky and find him a good home.  We intend to do just that for this nice boy! His foster mom reports that he is friendly and gentle natured.  Lucky has been to the groomer, where he had to be shaved down because of all the mats in his coat.  His beautiful fur will grow back nicely. He is now eating a healthy diet, and getting some exercise, as he does need to lose a few pounds.  He really does not seem like a nine year old dog! He walks nicely on leash, and gets along fine with the other dogs in his foster home.  He is crate trained, and appears to be housebroken.  Lucky will make a great pet for some lucky person or family, and we think he deserves to get lucky!  If you would like to meet him, please let us know!


Lucky is fully vetted -- neutered, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and deworming. The adoption fee is $150 (cash only, please).
