Tazzie * ASAP! Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Akita Mix La Honda, CA

TAZZIE is looking for a new home. Her person accepted a position overseas, but the landlords there won't allow Tazzie, so we are sadly looking for a new home for her. She's a very special girl!

Tazzie is a beautiful dog who commonly gets compliments on her looks and behavior while out and about. She is 5 years old, 45 lbs, with short black and brown brindle hair. She is an intelligent and healthy mixed breed who very much enjoys human company even though she spends most of the day laying quietly by herself in the back yard. Tazzie walks and jogs well on leash, checks back and circles nearby when off leash and has plenty of energy to expend when given or encouraged. After being well exercised she happily sits or lays nearby her people (sometimes peacefully snoring while awake). She came back from her annual vet checkup as "very healthy" (7/1/2014) current on all shots, passed fecal, heartworm, blood, and urinalysis tests and was deemed as "ideal" for body weight condition score. Overall she is mostly of calm demeanor, a trusting disposition and gets on readily with new people, young children and other dogs.

Tazzie is an incredible dog. She's shown herself to be loving (she would love nothing more than just to snuggle up with her people on the couch), responsive (she is quick to learn commands and take direction, obviously wanting to please her people), with a positive and playful spirit (she loves to chase balls, play tug, but also entertain herself by chewing on Nylabones). She seems equally happy being able to run in the dog park as to hang out quietly in front of the tv. Thus, we think she'd be a great fit for either an active household or someone looking for a calm companion at home. The best quality about her is her spirit: every dog has it's own personality but we think hers is particularly special. She has a joy and silliness about her that warms your heart. For the right home, she's going to be that one-in-a-million, best dog you ever had kind of a canine companion
