Our Mission

Rescue • Advocacy • Lifetime Care • Education • Adoption

We are a small, foster-based rescue headquartered in Lewis County, WA. We strive to provide the best for guinea pigs that come into our care. Many come to us in rough shape. We give each time to decompress, provide any needed medical care, and ensure they're well groomed and healthy. When their personalities shine through, we then seek their last furever home. Those that aren't suited for adoption spend their lives in peace and comfort as sanctuary residents,

Adoption Policy

Applicants must be 21+ years of age or 18+ with an older adult reference. If you own your home, verification of ownership is required. If you rent your home, a pet-friendly lease or landlord approved FHA accommodation is required. Once an application is submitted, we will contact you via phone for an interview. After approval, we will set up an adoption appointment, where the transfer of custody takes place and the Adoption Contract is signed. We meet from Chehalis to Olympia, with further locations on a case-by-case basis. Adoptions are completed on a best-fit basis, not first come first serve. By applying, you agree to allow VGPS to verify all information submitted on your application for accuracy. We reserve the right to deny an adoption at any time during the adoption process prior to transfer of custody. Our organization does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.
