Our Mission
The volunteers of Farm River Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation strive to provide safe permanent placement in Connecticut for those pets in need of their forever family. We accept animals from families who can no longer care or provide for them adequately. We rescue the abandoned, unwanted, unloved and homeless animals and ensure they receive proper veterinary care as well as time to decompress and then find their forever families.
Adoption Policy
We require a completed application including veterinary and personal references as well as speaking to applicants to ensure that the pet they adopt is the right fit for the entire family. We also ensure that if for any reason the animal is going to be re-homed in the future that they are instead returned to us. We adopt ONLY inside of Connecticut at this time.
IMPORTANT:
If you are interested PLEASE complete an application PRIOR to reaching out to us. We are a small rescue and it is very difficult to respond to emails, texts and phone calls that come through without having an application to reference when answering inquiries. Thank you!
