Meet Taz
2013 Grade Appalachian Brumby Mare, 15.0h
Taz is a strikingly beautiful but feral mare surrendered to us from the feral herds in the Eastern Kentucky mountains. Several months after her arrival at the Center she gifted us with her precious foal, Topaz.
Since recently parting ways with her foal, Taz has learned how to be approached, led, and groomed. She seems to be coming around quickly, and we will keep earning her trust while continuing her education.
Check back for updates on her training. Due to her past, she is only available to trainers with previous feral horse experience.
Total price includes: Adoption Fee ($1,000) + Deposit ($250)* = $1,250
*At KYEAC, we require adopters to complete an inspection on the adopted horse 6 and 12 months following adoption. To ensure adopters comply with their inspections, a $250 deposit is required on all horses priced under $2,000, and a $500 deposit is required on all horses priced at $2,000 and up. This deposit is already calculated into the adoption fee. If the adopter complies with the inspections, this deposit will be fully refunded after the requirements of the 6 and 12-month inspection have been met to our satisfaction. If the adopter does not comply with their inspections, their deposit will be forfeited.
