2006 Thoroughbred Gelding, 16.0h
"Murphy" is a Kentucky-bred Thoroughbred who had 40 starts on the track and retired from racing in 2015. Murphy is a new arrival here at the Center. So far we have noticed he is a very sweet and in-your-pocket type guy who loves to cuddle. He can get a bit anxious when in the barn or away from his pasture mates. We believe he will make an easy restart project for a trainer-type home. Check back for more updates as he continues his training!
Total price includes: Adoption Fee ($1,500) + Deposit ($250)* = $1,750
*At KYEAC, we require adopters to complete an inspection on the adopted horse 6 and 12 months following adoption. To ensure adopters comply with their inspections, a $250 deposit is required on all horses priced under $2,000, and a $500 deposit is required on all horses priced at $2,000 and up. This deposit is already calculated into the adoption fee. If the adopter complies with the inspections, this deposit will be fully refunded after the requirements of the 6 and 12-month inspection have been met to our satisfaction. If the adopter does not comply with their inspections, their deposit will be forfeited.
