Eugene Happy Tails Dog Adoption Story May 2020

We searched through thousands of dogs on Petfinder. We had narrowed it down to x amount of dogs. We then went to every shelters Facebook page to see what we could find on each dog (if available). There was this adorable video of Eugene and he stole our hearts. We had reached out to the Kokomo Humane Society to set up a time to meet him, plus a few others at their shelter to see who would be the best fit. After a couple days three of the four we wanted to meet had been adopted (SUPER happy to see they all got furever homes). However, Eugene was still available as if it was fate. So we went up to meet him and he immediately greeted us with the biggest hugs and kisses. Laid in our laps just wanting so much love. I started to cry because we immediately fell in love and knew he was the one. And from there we have had such an adventurous day of pup-cups from Starbucks, treats, walks, a bath, and a whole lot of cuddles. Day one in his furever home and we couldn’t feel more blessed to call him our fur baby. He’s perfect ❤️
