zzLady~Courtesy Post Pit Bull Terrier Mix Utica, MI

This is Lady aka. Ladybug! She’s a 60 pound female Pitt bull terrier with a ton of energy! The vet thinks she’s around 1 year old. She’s spayed, up to date on all her shots and heartworm free. She’ll have her first dose of Simperica on the 1st of May as heartworm and flea prevention. It also keeps a bunch of other nasty little buggers from bothering her. She was found walking the streets in pretty bad shape with a shock collar 3 months ago. I refused to let her go to a kill shelter as there was no place else for her to go. I offered to foster her and find her a home. I’m physically challenged and I can’t meet her needs. She needs to run and play! If you can give her a happy home with a doggie friend, please do! These are some informative facts about her.

1.) She’s a velcro dog! Always wants to know what you’re doing and has to be up close and personal! It’s sweet, annoying and comical.
2.) Very loving and is a baby when you stroke her face and tell her what a good girl she is. She’ll sit forever and look doe eyed at you while you’re doing it!
3.) Likes to jump up on you but she’s really trying to accept the off command. She was horrible when she first came and it’s much better now. She’s still a work in progress.
4.) Major cuddle bug! Will literally spoon with you, wrapping her paws around you and tucking her little face in wherever she can. She doesn’t mind if she’s the big spoon or the little spoon!
5.) She sometimes walks on you and she’s heavy. I try to stop her but she just loves doing it and I’m not the best at trying to rectify that situation. Due to my health issues, I’m in bed a lot and she is with me. I’m sure if she’s got a normal routine it will be a different situation. I let her sleep with me. I love her a whole bunch!?????
6.) She gets a little mouthy. I just hide my hands and it stops her. She’s gentle when she does it and it’s all about playing. I’m sure if she’s playing and releasing energy, that will stop. I believe she does it because she’s bored and tries to get me to play.
7.) She loves, loves, loves toys! And oh yea, she LOVES toys!! She has one hanging out of her mouth constantly! She throws it around and it’s adorable!
8.) She gives sweet kisses! Not too many and not messy! Just right! XX
9.) She rarely barks! Only for a good reason. I love this about her!
10.) She will ingest anything that she possibly can!? This includes, anything you drop on the floor, random objects that nature has to offer and well, anything.
11.) She’s extremely curious and a handful! She wants to jump on the furniture and I tell her off and she pretty much listens but still jumps back on sometimes. She’s getting better!
12.) She doesn’t always want to eat her meal. I feed her twice a day. I leave it down for 10 minutes and if she’s not interested I will pick it up and wait until the next feeding. I will sometimes try again in a bit. I don’t give her people food and she never begs.
13.) I call treats, cookies and she sits, comes and shakes for cookies! She knows what a cookie is!
14.) She never has accidents in the house. She lets you know when she’s got to go!
15.) She loves baths!
16.) She loves ice!? A lot!! I treat her with it every day! She knows when I’m filling my drink with ice! When I put it in her water outside she’s the happiest girl ever!
