Meet Zeus

Isn't a frosty face just the coolest thing?

Let's introduce you to Zeus! This wise old dude with a frosty muzzle has an impeccable sense of manners. Zeus is like a returning champion here at NWFLGDR. He's an alumnus who made his way back to us when his previous family moved into a new place that sadly couldn't accommodate his awesomeness.

At a dashing 9-10 years of age, Zeus is on the lookout for his ultimate couch kingdom. His favorite pastimes include being lavished with love and snoozing like a pro. He takes "chill" to a whole new level. He's as quiet as a whisper, only using his bark to announce important happenings, like when he senses the presence of an intruding squirrel.

Now, let's talk about his temperament – timid in nature at first, he looks to his buddy (aka you) to nudge him toward new horizons. Once he's warmed up, though, get ready for a heartwarming display of affection as he makes new friends. He's a seasoned expert in soaking up attention.

Zeus has a quirky little quirk – he's a bit unsure about tiny humans. So, if you've got aspiring junior humans in your home, we recommend they be around 10 years of age or older to keep the harmony (aka Zeus's nerves) intact.

Earning treats and winning hearts, Zeus is the epitome of a well-behaved, people-pleasing champ. He's up for multiple leisurely strolls each day, but let's be real – his true passion lies in returning to his water bowl oasis and deluxe nap station (aka the couch.) It's in his Dane DNA, after all! Zeus turns into a flawless gentleman on leash, and if there's a little bit of initial skepticism when meeting other dogs, it quickly transforms into doggy camaraderie with proper introductions.

In his foster momma's abode, Zeus lives it up with no kids or pets around. But here's the twist – when adventure calls and his foster momma jets off for work or vacation, Zeus packs his manners and heads over to another foster family's den. There, he blends right in with two lazy male danes, an Italian greyhound, a Cavapoo, and even some cats. Just like a seasoned socialite, he enjoys a quick outdoor escapade for some fresh air and then gracefully glides back indoors for some primo couch time.

Zeus is a crate aficionado, and guess what? Not a single potty party indoors.

We're on the lookout for a relaxed, easy-going family household to roll out the red carpet for Zeus in his golden years and give him his very own throne (aka couch) to rule from. With his laid-back vibes, appreciation for the good life, and knack for making serenity look effortlessly stylish, Zeus is the dream companion you've been waiting for. Trust us, he's more than worth it!

Zeus is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention and has been microchipped.

He is currently in a foster home in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. Out of respect for our foster family's time and privacy, we do NOT arrange meet and greets without an approved application on file.

Zeus’s adoption fee is $300. If you're interested in adopting him please go to www.nwflgdr.com/adopt to read over our adoption coverage areas and requirements before applying.

PLEASE NOTE: NWFLGDR does not transport. NWFLGDR requires all approved adopters to travel to the foster home to meet and pick up the dog in person. Should the adoption not work out, it is the responsibility of the adopter to travel to bring the dog back to his/her foster parent.
