Zeus Pit Bull Terrier Mix Trenton, MO

Zeus was brought in by the city. He was badly attacked by another dog and was very hungry.
Although his arrival to us was sad, he has been the sweetest dog to everyone! Zeus is extremely friendly and loyal! He has scars, but we think they make him all-the-more handsome!
Zeus is between 3 and 5 years old, and still has a lot of love to give! Zeus may have been potty trained in the past, as he waits as long as possible before pottying in his kennel. Although he’s had a couple of accidents, he does all of his business outside as long as he doesn’t have to wait too long!
Zeus takes a while to warm up to other dogs, but is friendly and playful with the puppies around him, so any housemates would need to come for a meet-and-greet before adoption!
Zeus deserves a second chance at love and life! We don’t know what he faced in the past, but we know that he deserves the best future possible!

Update 8/31/23: Zeus has been here over a year now...He needs a home! He doesn't know what a stranger is, and gets so excited to meet everyone! Zeus has even met kids since he's been with us (5yrs+) and does wonderful with them! He is patient and friendly, and is ready for belly rubs and butt scratches right off the bat! We absolutely love our Zeusy, but we would love it even more to see him in his forever home!

Updaye 11/27/23: Somehow, sweet Zeusy is still here! He would love to have a home before Christmas, as this will be his second Christmas with us. He adores all people and will love his forever family for the rest of his life! We hope that someone sees past this boy's scars and into his heart, because when they do, they'll see what a sweet, playful, happy, loving boy he really is!

Every dog adopted from Green Hills Animal Shelter is fixed, has age appropriate vaccinations, a rabies vaccination, and is tested for heartworm (if old enough). Dogs from GHAS will also come with a starter bag of Hills Science Diet pet food to get you started!
