Yukon Cornelius is a large 10-month-old boy full of puppy curiosity, joyful exuberance and energy. He's a Shepherd mix that comes with energy and athleticism along with intelligence, which this breed is known for.

Yukon is a social butterfly and loves playing chase with his canine foster brother. As with most youngsters, the secret to his continued success will be lots of exercise. Yukon will require training, consistency and abundant activity - both physical and mental - to ensure he continues to develop into an amazing sidekick. His favorites things include chew toys, squeaky toys, dirty socks, mealtime and playing in the yard. His leash skills are still very much a work in progress as everything on a walk is so fascinating. He is crate trained and house trained, sitting by the door when he needs to go out.

One role Yukon takes very seriously is "guardian of his kingdom," barking at any strange noise. That sneaky delivery driver better watch out! In the evening, after a long hard day of security guarding, he likes to relax with a well-deserved chew toy and whatever’s trending on Netflix.

Yukon would love to find a home where his people will lavish him with affection and provide consistency, patience and continued training. A fenced-in yard is a must and a playful canine companion or a couple of days a week at doggie daycare would be icing on the cake! Due to his size, he may be better suited to an adult-only home or home with older children.

Yukon's large, expressive eyes, big personality, and perhaps most importantly, the non-stop wagging nubby tail will capture your heart.
