Winnie Pomeranian Mix Salem, OR

Winnie is a Pomeranian mix, 15 years old with a sweet nature and lots of love to give. She is overweight at about 14 lbs. She steers clear of cats although she would “visit” the litter pan if given the opportunity. She also avoids the other dogs in her foster home but keeps track of her little friend that came from the same home. She will use wee pads but prefers to go potty outside. She is very food motivated and will spin and bark and lick your leg if she thinks a treat is coming. She is not a picky eater and will need to have her food measured out as her weight loss journey continues. She is excellent for the groomer. She can’t hear very well probably due to her age so she sleeps soundly and may startle if surprised. She likes to have a kennel to nap in and also to hide if strangers come to the house. She likes a calm environment and a routine. She seeks out toys and carries them around and shakes them. She is not sure about going for walks but would probably enjoy them once she understands what they are about. She loves being in the yard and doesn’t seem to mind the weather.
