Slippers Labrador Retriever & Border Collie Mix Madras, OR

Slippers has spent nearly all of her life out here at the shelter. It’s thought she may be a Labrador & border collie mix. However it’s entirely possible she’s a scion from a far away time and place.
Looking into her glowing orange eyes and watching her stealthy movements, it isn’t too far fetched to imagine she hails from the highland moors; a domesticated ancestor of the fairy hounds that roamed the green hillsides in ancient Welsh and Scottish myth.
A fae dog with feet as light as air, she would make for a perfect companion whether your intent be to assist or hinder lost travelers - regardless, she’s up to the task and would be right at your side. Perhaps she could even earn a new name such as Matilda of the Night (Mallt-y-Nos.) If you’ve treated her with kindness she’ll remember you when you pass this way again too. And maybe you’ll be rewarded with a kiss.

She is a lab/border collie mix we think. She lived with another dog and 2 cats and did well. She was doing very well in her housebreaking. She is crate trained. She likes playing ball, with plush and squeaky toys.
