Willy is hound mix who is 2 years old and weighs 50lbs.
Meet Willy - a happy, curious young hound mix with a beautiful soft brindle coat. Willy likes to meet new people, and his originally-shy personality has blossomed over the last few months in his foster home. He absolutely loves toys! Willy carries his favorite chew toy around and constantly leaves it funny places like the laundry basket and dishwasher. Willy makes fast friends with other dogs and likes to follow their lead. He could thrive as either an only dog or a member of a family pack. Like all young dogs, Willy can be playful and silly with zoomies, yet he settles down well inside and keeps himself busy napping or chewing on a bone while his foster parents work from home during the day. He also likes being a couch potato and is very snuggly. Willy happily eats and sleeps in his crate - he prefers a crate where he can keep an eye on what's going on. He is house-trained, eager to please, walks decently on a leash, and is quick to learn. Willy would thrive in a basic training class with his new family to help bond, socialize, and perfect his manners. He loves being with his people, whether riding in the car, going-along to pet-friendly activities, or just relaxing on the couch with a movie.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.
Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.
The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.
We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
