Meet Willow

Sweet Willow!

Willow, our 50 lb., two and one half year old Border Collie Mix was found in Kentucky as a stray with a bloody tail. A Kentucky rescue whisked her into a vet's care, where she immediately starting having puppies. All the pups have thankfully been placed in homes and we agreed to bring Willow to STAF. Her tail had to be removed. It is all healed now, but she must have been in a tremendous amount of pain.

But despite these horrific early experiences, Willow is truly one of the sweetest dog you could ever meet. She approaches everyone with a total open heart and unwavering conviction that they will return all the love and affection she so willingly shares with them.

Willow is a calm girl, but also very attentive and alert to her surroundings. At some point, she and may have received some basic training. She will look you right in the eyes and seems to want to understand what you would like her to do.

Willow is ready for a loving home that can give her the life she so well deserves.

*** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! ***

• All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
• We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
• We require a 4-foot-tall physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog’s behavior and exercise needs.
• Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
• We do request vet and personal references.
• We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
