Hi I'm Willie and I'm new to Big Lake Humane Society.

I was transferred from another shelter in south western Michigan where I was a staff and volunteer favorite but had little interest. After the staff at Big Lake spent a few minutes with me they could see that I have great potential to be an amazing dog for someone.

The staff here are still learning things about me but what they do know from my last caretakers is that I absolutely love playing ball but it has to be the right ball so sometimes it can take a few minutes for me to find the perfect one. I also really love belly rubs so it's not uncommon for me to come sprinting over with a ball in my mouth and then flop right over onto the ground for some excited belly scratches so I hope that not only do you have a good throwing arm but that you also have the time for lots of belly rubs.

Being a young dog I do still have some energy needs that need to be met so having a fenced in yard could be helpful for this otherwise daily walks or doggie daycare might be other options as well; I do settle down but it tends to be for short periods of time before I'm off and running again so apartment living might be a little difficult for me.

I am neutered, up to date on my vaccines, microchipped and ready for my forever home!
