Meet William, a spirited 18-month-old miniature Schnauzer (30%) and Poodle (25%) mix, bursting with boundless energy and an insatiable love for life. William boasts a soft, non-shedding white coat that's as charming as his personality.

William is not just smart but eager to please, making him a joy to train. He's crate-trained and adept at following basic commands like "sit," "wait," "stay," "come," and "down." We're currently working on adding "place" to his repertoire. While he can be easily distracted, he's highly motivated by food, making training sessions a breeze. He's also made significant progress walking on a leash, though certain areas can still pose a challenge. His house-training is nearly impeccable, a testament to his intelligence and willingness to learn.

With his playful nature, William adores interaction with children of all ages. He loves nothing more than to frolic and play, though he may need some reminders about his size around smaller kids. He's a perfect dog park companion, thriving on the energy and excitement of socializing with both two- and four-legged friends. William is also an excellent companion for active hikers or joggers, always ready to hit the trails or pound the pavement.

This lively pup thrives on daily exercise, particularly relishing his energetic "zoomies." While his daily mile walk is beneficial, he'd truly flourish with a five-mile run. William isn't one to pass up a game of tug-of-war or catch with his favorite toy, making him an ideal playmate for anyone with an active lifestyle.

In terms of diet, William prefers a kibble diet supplemented with water, favoring chicken or lamb over beef or pork. He eagerly anticipates his treats, especially if they're chicken-flavored. Mental stimulation through food-related games is a favorite pastime, as is chewing on nylon bones or household items.

William's grooming needs are minimal, and he sleeps contentedly in his crate each night, retiring by 8 PM and rising promptly at 6:45 AM for his morning routine. He's diligent about his bathroom breaks, typically going out shortly after meals and every 2-3 hours during the day.

The first step in the process is to submit an application (link below) in order to set up a meet and greet or talk with the foster family. Once the application is submitted, the foster parents will contact you to chat more about the dog and make sure they're a good fit, and can answer any further questions. The application answers most of our questions in order to best match you. If you do not get the dog you apply for we can use your same application for 90 days towards another dog in our care and simply forward your app to that foster parent.

All dogs will be fully vetted (Spay/Neutered, Microchipped, DHPP and Rabies Vaccinated) and other possible vet care prior to adoption.

The adoption fee is $350 which is considered a non-refundable donation.
