Wicket Terrier Mix Oklahoma City, OK

Meet our girl Wicket! She is a 3 year old, 30 pound terrier mix. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped.

This beauty came to us from our local shelter after she was found incredibly malnourished and sick. She has recovered wonderfully and as done well adjusting to being a spoiled house dog. We aren't sure what all she experienced in her past, but with lots of love and time with her foster, she is has come a long way learning to trust humans and even how to snuggle.

She is blind in her right eye and may have impaired vision in her left eye. Due to this she may bark in the dark if she cannot see things and does bark when startled or if she can hear something but can't see it yet. For this reason, we think a home with older children would be best for her and her family.

Wicket is house and kennel trained. You can tell she loves calling her kennel home. She thoroughly enjoys her toys. Her favorite time of the day is breakfast and dinner time. She is a smart girl and food motivated, which makes her easy to train. She has taken a while to get used to a leash. We're sure she hadn't used one before or maybe didn't have a good experience. But she is learning and will do great with a family who will help keep up her training.

She does well with other dogs and currently lives with several foster siblings. We aren't sure how she is with cats. She loves to play outside and enjoy the sunshine. She enjoys chasing squirrels and bug and is a happy-go-lucky girl. She can take a little while to warm up to someone new, but once she does, she is a true lovebug. She does prefer women over men but given patience and understanding she can be comfortable and loving.

Wicket has come so far and will take some time to adjust to a new home, but once she does, she will love you unconditionally! We know there is an awesome family out there for our Wicket is who is ready to love on her and giver her the patience she needs to settle into her forever home.
