Wedge Beagle & Miniature Pinscher Mix Holland, OH

Wedge is a happy and sweet boy. He loves to explore but also likes to be in your lap. He is potty trained, but we do expect him to need an adjustment period in his new home. He absolutely loves kids and likes to play with other dogs. He even does fine with cats! If you let him on your lap, he'll pay you in a gentle little kiss or two. Wedge is very timid when he's in trouble, he senses his wrong doing very quickly, so he shouldn't be too hard to train. He is very receptive to correction. Wedge would love a home with a yard to call his own, or would be happy with a walk or two a day in between loving on his person/people.
Wedge's breed background is very unknown, but he seems to have to have a lot of beagle traits, including size, stance, and ears, in addition to a beagle personality. Possibly with some min pin for coloring and nose shape.
Wedge is a pretty quiet guy. He has an excited whine but it's not very loud and only does it while waiting for you. His bark has a little hound to it, but just enough to know he has hound in him. He doesn't go crazy when he sees people or animals outside. He'll bark once to alert you, and then look to you for how to proceed. We tell him good job and that's enough, and he doesn't do anything more. Wedge walks fairly well on a leash, he seems to understand what it is and why. He doesn't try to chew on the leash nor get out of it. He's still learning some leash manners, mainly not to walk in zig zags on occasion and not to pull. He's small enough though, so his pull isn't very strong.
