Weber Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix West Jefferson, OH

Weber is a terrier, who is possibly mixed with Belgian Malinois, and we believe his birthdate to be around 08/25/20. You can tell that he just wants a human companion, and his ideal adopter would be an experienced handler who is willing to take on a dog with a high work drive. He is your textbook "velcro dog".
We would love for Weber to go to a home with a privacy fence so that he can run around and play before going inside and couch surfing. He is a really sweet boy who is treat motivated and he loves to know that you are proud of him! Weber loves to going for long hikes at the park. He is spending time in a foster home with one of our volunteers and we discovered that he enjoys car rides, is attentive to directions from his person, and he is MUCH more relaxed in a home environment. Whoever adopts this guy is going to have a lifetime of silliness, laughter, love, companionship, and loyalty.

Weber is a pretty awesome dog. His dream home would be someone who is very active, a runner would be ideal, or someone who can spend a lot of outside time with him to get all of his zoomies and energy out through playing. He really is a big goof ball and a sweet dog. He is a very strong boy, so older children would be best for him. His chew toys should be of the strongest variety. He will invade your space, because he loves to be around his humans, but he also understands when you ask him to go lay down. Weber must a been a fish in a past life because this dog LOVES getting wet, whether it be a pool, hose, stream, lake! After dinner he goes for a walk and then we just chill together. Some of his favorite things to do are sleeping on bedding (anything nice and comfy is his go to), laying by a vent for cold air, and looking out the window watching the world go by. During walks he is interested in chasing cats, rabbits, squirrels and sometimes even deer, so he is always on leash. He is goofy and loves to put his whole head in to holes, shrubs, low tree branches and even tries to get under decks while on walks. But we are working on correction and redirecting and he is doing very well. He is a little leery around bigger dogs, generally relaxed or unconcerned about dogs his size or smaller. He is selective on who he will play with, usually he is preoccupied with finding wildlife instead. When meeting new people or dogs, the introduction should be slow. Treats will be your best friend. Sometimes he gets scared if someone on a skateboard or bike goes by, especially if he does not hear them coming. Weber is house trained and does not need to be crated. He is a huge snuggler and wants to sleep against his person as you can see from the pictures. He is a ham when comfortable, with lots of sprawling on his back, rolling in the grass. Sometimes he gets zoomies at the end of the night. When he wants attention he will throw himself into you and flop onto his back. He will make a great companion for an active household!

Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $17, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
