WangWang German Shepherd Dog Mission, BC

WangWang is a ball-loving fetchaholic. He lives to play ball, and lounge around. He is the perfect energy level, he loves to play, then nap and recharge. He believes the couch is his, and he would prefer not to share it with any other animals. He actually does not want to share ANYTHING with other animals, he is completely happy with people friends only. WangWang is not a huge fan of new experiences, his life has been relatively sheltered. He is a walk-around-the-block type of guy, his (fast) running or (long) hiking days are behind him and dog parks are just not his style. WangWang has severe arthritis, degenerative mylopathy in his back end and is prone to anal fissures. He has a serious medication regime that must be maintained to the letter to ensure he is in tip top shape for years to come (hopefully). WangWang does take time to warm up to new people and would not do well in a busy home with lots of visitors. He can manage a few stairs, though a full flight will likely mean he would require assistance in the future.
WangWang loves many people, but he is past the days of having younger children in his immediate family. He eats a relatively bland and very controlled diet to ensure gastric comfort and consistency.
He is a happy, 7 year old GSD who bonds well with his human friends here at the sanctuary, but he could do well with a family of his own too.
