Violet Labrador Retriever Palo Alto, CA

This dog will be at a meet and greet event on Saturday, February 24th unless he/she is adopted prior to the event with a set up home. The event is from 12 pm to 3 pm at Palo Alto's Pet Food Express. Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event. We no longer do application approval onsite. Anyone adopting has been previously approved and set up to meet prior to the event.

Violet is a 1 year old Labrador Retriever who can't wait to show you that February showers bring forever flowers! Violet came into our rescue after being surrendered to a local vet hospital. Soon after we took her in, we realized she was pregnant and a week later she gave birth to four beautiful puppies. Violet was an amazing Mama to her babies and is now ready for a home of her very own. This gorgeous girl can't wait to meet you!

Violet is a wonderfully sweet girl with an incredibly affectionate disposition. She thrives on attention and enjoys every moment of it. She is a major love bug and will try to sit on your lap if you let her. She is your typical energetic lab who loves playtime and walks, but after she gets her wiggles out she is ready for snuggles. Despite having babies, she is very much still a puppy herself. She adores toys and is working on her retrieving skills. She would love to be your running or adventure buddy and is endlessly excited to explore the world around her.
Violet sleeps in her crate overnight and wakes up at 7:30 AM. She goes outside to potty and then gets some playtime before breakfast. She gets a 45 minute walk in the morning and then snoozes and plays until 1 PM for her next romp session. She has dinner at 5 PM and then has another walk. She would thrive in an active home.
Violet adores other dogs and is working on her manners in terms of polite greetings. She is very food motivated and trainable, which is fabulous. She already knows sit, down, shake and is working on stay. Violet is fully housetrained. She would love another buddy in her new home to romp around with. This fantastic gal deserves the best and she will be the best dog in the world for her lucky forever family!

Violet is an option for homes with prior dog experience, especially those with large breed knowledge. Due to her energetic nature, kids should be over the age of 8 and knock-over proof.
