Verdie Shepherd Mix Littleton, CO

Verdie is a very smart young shepard. He is potty trained, but also has a very routine. He is crate trained, and goes out to potty right out of the crate. He is let out right after he awakes from sleeping/lounging in the house and within an hour of eating. I think he needs a bit more work on the connection of "potty" and outdoors, but hasn't really had any accidents. He is a typical herding group shepard and is interested in knowing what and where the cat is. He gets along with the cat, but as they do wants to keep an eye on it. He plays well with small (30 pounds) and larger dogs (68 pounds). He's happy playing outside, but just as happy to be in with his foster mom sleeping up in the office during the day. As mentioned he is crate trained and does well with routine. He loves his nylabones and loves chewing on his other soft toys. He's not a catch or run after the toy kinda dog. As any smart dog does, he will need physical and mental stimulation. He would do good as an only dog or with others, but will definitely need at least walks, so a moderately active person/family would be best. He's pretty food motivated, but will require some work to do additional training. He knows how to sit and come. He's a sweet dog and likes to come up and get attention, but will go off and find a toy and his bed and hang. Verdie will make a furever parent a very loyal, sweet and kind companion dog!!
