Meet VALENTINA

VALENTINA #644

Did you miss Valentine’s Day? Start a new annual tradition—Valentina’s Day! Valentina #644 is a 2-year-old female spayed basset. (When you add her numbers together, they equal 14. Plus, she’s red and white and even has a heart on her head. If those aren’t signs to adopt her in February, what is?)

Valentina is a little underweight at 33 pounds. She is dog and teenager-friendly and doesn’t seem to mind cats at all. She’s potty trained and crate trained, although she tends to get a bit nervous when she doesn’t think she’s being included. She would love a confident resident hound at her new forever home, or a family who can spend a lot of quality time assuring her that she’s there to stay. She’s got a voice and isn’t afraid to use it to remind everyone she’s present and accounted for, although that may change as she settles in.

Valentina seems to walk fine on a leash and turned out in a fenced yard. She would likely be okay on a tie-out too. She’s still acclimating to Minnesota snow, but how great would she look with a wardrobe of jackets? Fill out an app today and take her shopping for on-sale Valentine’s Day accessories tomorrow!

MNBR adopts locally as much as possible so we can properly support our foster dogs and adopters if the need arises. Our adoption area includes North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin.

Minnesota Basset Rescue (MNBR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dog rescue based in Minnesota. Founded in July of 2017, MNBR rehomes dogs from owners who can no longer provide their care and rescues dogs from local pounds and shelters. As an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue we welcome anyone who loves dogs and wishes to help bassets and basset mixes live a healthy and happy life. Our organization provides safe, loving foster home, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities while working hard to find them a permanent, loving home!
