Lady, a delightful Treeing Walker Coonhound, is ready to steal your heart at 6 years old and 50 lbs. Her endearing personality shines through as she exudes sweetness, happiness, and a touch of goofiness. Lady is a beloved favorite of everyone at Rescued Rascals, known for her gentle and loving nature.
While Lady is good with other dogs, she tends to be more on the mellow side when it comes to play, preferring to coexist peacefully. However, her enthusiasm truly shines when it comes to food – she adores treats and eagerly sits for them. Lady particularly enjoys having her soft ears scratched, reveling in the affection.
Despite her petite frame, Lady embodies the classic hound traits, albeit with a quieter disposition. Yet, she's not averse to letting out a melodious howl if prompted. With her keen sense of smell, she thrives in environments where she can explore and sniff to her heart's content, making a fenced yard a necessity for her new home. While she may exhibit some strength on leash, she is both potty trained and crate trained, demonstrating her readiness to seamlessly integrate into her new family's routine.
Lady's journey has been one of resilience, having been returned a few times before finding her way to Rescued Rascals. Originally abandoned in the Deep South, she found freedom in the Midwest but has yet to find the perfect fit. Lady awaits a forever home where she can truly thrive.
Lady is a very chill and quiet coonhound who enjoys indoor lounging; however, she still needs a safe space to explore and release energy. While she enjoys the company of other canines, she shouldn't be paired with ones who might trigger her hunting instincts, so a home without cats is preferred.
Fabulous with humans of all sizes, Lady loves nothing more than lounging on the couch, receiving affection, and indulging in treats. She's house and crate trained, healthy, up-to-date on vetting, and spayed.
